Hiring assistants

I have interviewed 30 people in the last 7 working days for two positions within our marketing department.  Thus far, I have selected my two favorites.  One reminds me of my best friend, Claire.  She’s tan, smells good and is super easy to talk to.  The other has worked with Hanson and enjoys Forever 21 jewelry as much as I do.  I personally think I’ve done a tremendous job.  Oh, and they’re both qualified and have excellent experience…

All of our young lives we search for someone to love. Someone that makes us complete. We choose partners and change partners. We dance to a song of heartbreak and hope. All the while wondering if somewhere, somehow, there’s someone perfect who might be searching for us.

Kevin Arnold is my dream man!  Remember the Pepsi commercials he was in- loves it!

Waking up

  • The left over Chinese food is helping!
  • Me: How you feeling today?
  • Claire: Probably about the same as you.
  • Stevie: I know and we have to do it again tonight.
  • Claire: What?
  • Stevie: We invited people over for tonight. Are you not coming?
  • Claire: No I didn't say that
  • I love that hung over you two still are excited about drinking again

  • Seriously, my drunk mouth makes promises my hungover self can't keep. But I'm going to do my best to rally!

Going Away Smoking Party

Wow, you’re actually welcoming a hangover- Claire, you really are serious about this!  I’m so proud of you and I know you can do it and I’ll be right there to help!

clarawalnuts:

Tomorrow will be the last day I ever smoke another cigarette.  I’ve been a smoker for over 11 years, almost half of my life.  This will be my first full-fledged effort to kick my nasty habit and I’ve already started my dose of Chantix.

As a going away party to smoking, I’m having a happy hour at Q’s tomorrow to chain smoke and drink the evening away.

I’m also hoping that I will be super hungover Friday and that will aid in my quitting.

BTW, you’ve got to tell me what happened to Marie on Intervention the other night… details later??

Secret Life of an American Teenager is my favorite guilty pleasure. I have the TV viewing habits of a 14 year old girl.

"Go Team" Bonding

Wanna know what we all got at our last work event?   Wait for it, wait for it…. FOOD POISONING!  Hollleerrrrr

erichemedes:

I totally just got reminded about our mandatory agency wide event tomorrow. Basically, we only have to work until 10:30 at which time we all head over to the Ferry Building for what’ll essentially be IRON CHEF versus other co-workers. What isn’t stated below that I’m most excited about is:

(1) It’s a competition

(2) Brunch Hour cocktail hour upon arrival

(3) We get to leave right after for more drinking and then go home

Yay!

Executive Chef will create an unforgettable corporate event that will be water cooler chatter for a really long time. Our corporate events are perfect for celebrating company achievements, entertaining clients, rewarding employees, welcoming new recruits, or just letting off some steam.

Your group will arrive to a selection of tasty hors d’oeuvres and refreshing beverages to get their palates revved up for an evening of food and fun. Guests then slip on chef hats and aprons and are divided into teams that work together to create their culinary masterpieces.

And, of course, once the cooking is finished everyone is invited to sit down, relax, and enjoy their culinary creations. When the evening is over, each guest leaves with new cooking skills, a full belly, and memories of a great time in the company of new friends.

Why comment?

I’ve now had two Ralph’s cashiers comment on the weight of my salads.  The first guy chimed in with “Wow, that’s an expensive dinner”

The second’s clever comment went “Wow, you’re feeding salad to the whole family tonight, eh”

WTF, bag that shit up and let me eat in peace.  It’s a salad- yes, it happens to be heavily weighed down w/ Ranch dressing and assorted pasta salads, but there’s lettuce in there!

I’ve said my peace… tonight I will try to outweight my last one!!!  Take that suckas… wait, who’s the loser in this situation…
